HOWDY, Y'ALL! 

Finished the Curse Words Omnibus today, and I have to say, it's one massively amazing collection. Super proud of what team Curse Words has accomplished and we are forever grateful to you for helping to make it happen.

Somehow, smoke and angry fire did NOT blast from my computer (a miracle, I say!) as I prepared the 22 GB print files for the 768 pages. Poor little computer needs a damn vacation (as we all do). 

Obviously this means the After Words issues is all done (SCORE!). See below for the final cover for the issue. 

So, what now? Well, Charles is hard at work on the concept album which it's looking more likely will be available on vinyl after all. 90% sure it will be an option on the Backerkit for those that want the physical copy. I will be working on making sketch cards and the book plate and making the Curse Sword rescripted issue. It's gonna be the dumbest.

Expect the Backerkit survey soon which will feature an add-ons webstore should you want to expand your order to include the T-Shirt, vinyl record, pins, or other single issues.

Howdy, y'all! Hope you are staying safe out there. Thought I'd post an update on the omnibus progress. I originally thought I'd be sharing drawings as I was making the final issue--but then I realized that EVERY PAGE HAS SPOILERS if you haven't finished reading the original Curse Words. BUT! I want to show you what we've been up to. SO! Scroll wayyyyy down if you'd like to see pages from the brand new Curse Words After Words issue. So spoilery. You make the call! To spoil or not to spoil, only you can decide! 

The book will be done and off to press in early August then Charles and I will get to making Curse Cards and Sketch Cards and all the wonderful stuff you've unlocked. Charles informs me that he is hard at work on the Curse Words Concept Album and is loving every minute of it. Thank you for forcing Charles to make an album and thanks to myself for having no musical ability so I don't have to help him make it. Dodged a bullet there.

It's been amazing getting to make more Curse Words and Charles and I are forever thankful you gave us this opportunity. The new issues looks insane!!!!

THANK YOU 1600 BACKERS! INCREDIBLE! HERE'S WHAT'S NEXT!

WOW! INCREDIBLE!!! THANK YOU 1600 BACKERS (we love that it's such a nice round number)!!!! We are overwhelmed by the support and are so excited that so many of you will be reading the comics Charles and I made over the past four years. WE HEART READERS!

SO! What now? Here's what now. Hoping to answer all the questions you might have--send me a message or comment below if you have additional thoughts. 

• Your survey, where you can purchase optional add-ons (like the new Curse Words T-Shirt) and where you give us your shipping address will be sent out to you when the book is ready to ship (sometime in late August). More on that below.

• Charles and I are working on the new issue of Curse Words! I'm expecting a final script any day now and then I will draw it and have it colored by Addison Duke and lettered by Chris Crank. Got the whole band back together! 

• Then I'll finalize the design and get the thing proof read and scrutinized--can't wait to see Daniel Kibblesmith's introduction--then it's ready for print! Hopefully that puts us around mid July.

• Printing and shipping to me in Chicago will take 6-8 weeks. Our initial print run estimate was 750 copies--now we are printing 1750! The weight of the shipment will be about 7,500 pounds. Oh no, what have we done!?

• During that 6-8 week printing window, Charles and I will be working on the sketch cards, doing additional art and printing the add-ons like the bookplate and sticker. Everything that we can physically work on without the books will be finished in this time period so it'll all be organized and ready to go when we get the books. 

• Given the much larger print run then anticipated and the 20 page new story, I would conservatively push it to us receiving the books in mid-september and shipping them asap. You can follow along with the progress on my instagram @RyanBrowneArt

• Surveys! We are sending out surveys in late August. In my experience, people move--A LOT--during the course of the Kickstarter and we don't want to send the packages to the wrong address. One of our stretch goals is to have your BACKER NAME in the book as a thank you to everyone for making this happen. We deicide to use your Kickstarter backer name instead of your real name because we assumed there would be a lot of you that chose your username for privacy's sake (at least 2/3rds of you have your real name as your backer name anyway). In a perfect world I could just wait until the survey and ask you what name you'd like and then put it in the book. The problem is the book design needs to be done 7 weeks BEFORE the survey goes out so we have the correct address for everyone. SO! If you want a name other than your kickstarter backer name in the book, message me and I will add it to the spreadsheet--or change your backer id name in your profile over the next week. Whatever works for you. This is hopefully just a fun extra and not anything for anyone to stress about. Doing my best to be smart about this and accommodate everyone because you guys made it happen--and you rule--and we are super grateful to you!

• If your credit card didn't go through Kickstarter will contact you about this. Charles and I don't have anything to do with billing so unfortunately we don't have any trouble shooting for that area.

How add-on items work! New stretch goals! In the home stretch!

Howdy, all! Quick update on everything coming out of The Hole World…

YOU'VE UNLOCKED AN EP WORTH OF CURSE WORDS SONGS! Charles better get busy tickling the ivories, strumming the chords, and banging the skins (I don't know how music is made)!

ALSO! Lots of questions on how the add-ons will work during the survey phase/what will be available as an add-on. SO! When the book is done and ready to be shipped, we will email you a short survey - the main purpose of that is for you to give us your up-to-date shipping address for your pledge rewards. The survey will be emailed to you by a company we are working with called BackerKit. Beyond just the shipping address question, the survey will also give you the option to add additional items to your package, which you'll pay for at that time. It will work just like a webstore, and will combine the prices of each item you add and organize it for us so we make sure it all comes to you alongside the Kickstarter pledge reward(s) you're buying now. 

Here's what we're currently thinking for those add-ons (none of these are final, but probably the way it will go):

NEW STRETCH GOALS!

STRETCH GOAL INFINITY + INFINITY (LOCKED) $130,000: THE CURSE WORDS T-SHIRT RETURNS! If we hit 130K (!!!), then Team Curse Words will make a new edition of the long out of print Curse Words logo T-Shirts! SO RAD! These shirts will **only** be available for purchase only through the BackerKit survey as add-ons to your current order.  We weren't going to do T-Shirts at all, but y'all have twisted our arms with your wonderful support!

STRETCH GOAL INFINITY TO THE INFINITE POWER (LOCKED) $150,000: THE CURSE WORDS VINYL RECORD! Once Charles finishes recording the entire Curse Words-inspired concept album, we will get it pressed on special limited edition vinyl and offer it for sale during the add-on phase of the survey! So limited and so special! We want to do this so badly! AH!

Update: Make sure your backer ID is what you want in the book--and some new art

IT'S THE HOME STRETCH! In less than 24 hours, the Curse Words: The Hold Damned Thing 768-page hardcover omnibus Kickstarter campaign will conclude! As we send out this update, there's only one stretch goal left to hit - the $150K level, for which Ryan and Charles will create a vinyl LP version of the concept album you unlocked at the $120K level! You've already unlocked amazing t-shirts at $130K, which will be available for purchase through the BackerKit survey... there's only $15K to go to get the LP, too. Can we do it? Let's find out!

ALSO - IMPORTANT! An earlier unlocked stretch goal will have your backer name listed in the hardcover with a special thanks. The plan is to use your Kickstarter ID name for this listing since some people prefer to have a nickname in place of their first and last. You can change your backer ID name in your user settings to be what you'd like in the book (tasteful entries only, please)--please do so as soon as you can. We will try our best to have the name you want in the book, but it's easiest for us to know what you want by having your KS ID be right.

Here's a work in progress cover to the new After Words Curse Words issue you've unlocked! Wizord in space? Probably not what the issue will be about but I just wanted to do something crazy and trippy.
